Local Romance Authors Launch Cat-Themed Book Series

A Witch In Time

ORLANDO, FL – Something new and purr-fectly romantic lands at online bookstores on

September 10—Cat’s Paw Cove Romances. The series of connected books, set in the fictional

town of Cat’s Paw Cove on Florida’s Atlantic coast, was created by multi-published local authors

Catherine Kean and Wynter Daniels.

Kean and Daniels co-authored the debut release, a time travel called A Witch in Time. It

will release in eBook, paperback, and audio book. Since Kean and Daniels both adore their cats

adopted from Central Florida rescue organizations, and have a goal to support local feline charities,

a portion of proceeds will be donated to the non-profit SPCA Florida, partner of The Orlando Cat

Café.

According to Cat’s Paw Cove’s founding authors, the town is located south of St.

Augustine and is named for the small islands in the harbor, which resemble the pads of a cat’s

paw. Kean and Daniels drew upon Florida history to create a place where anything can happen,

due to time portals on a restored seventeenth-century ship that’s become the Shipwreck Museum,

objects tainted by dark magic in the antique store, resident fortune tellers and witches, and felines

called Sherwood cats (a fictional breed) that are protected by the town and have magical abilities.

All of the stories will be romances with a maximum PG-13 heat level. All will include cats.

A Witch in Time shows how tightly the past and present are linked in the town. “Catherine

and I have been friends for more than twenty years but had never written a book together before,”

said Daniels, who has written more than three dozen romances, including contemporary, romantic

suspense, and paranormal romance books. “Neither of us was sure how it was going to go, but it

ended up being a really fun project.” Kean, an award-winning Kindle Unlimited All-Star author

who has written more than 20 medieval romances, wrote scenes in the point of view of the British

hero, Colin Wilshire, who is pulled from a violent storm at sea in 1645 to the present day. Daniels

wrote the perspective of the heroine, witch Luna Halpern. The result: a humorous, fast-paced story

involving hidden treasure, Colin’s attempts to return to his time, and the undeniable attraction

between Colin and Luna.

Four more books will follow A Witch in Time this fall, including an 8-author holiday

anthology, for a total of five releases in 2019. More than 20 titles will be published in 2020, and the

publication schedule continues to grow to accommodate the stories, many of them parts of

series, that are currently being written by Cat’s Paw Cove’s 13 invitation-only guest authors.

“We’re very excited about the future of Cat’s Paw Cove Romances,” Kean says. “We have

USA Today Bestselling authors on our team, as well as up-and-coming women writers getting

their break in the publishing industry with us. We plan for as many of our events to benefit local

non-profit cat rescue organizations as possible. A win-win for all.”
